On 21 April 2021, the European Commission proposed new =
rules and actions aiming to turn Europe into the global hub for tr=
ustworthy Artificial Intelligence (AI). According to the commission, the co=
mbination of the first-ever legal framework on AI and a new Coordinated Plan with Member States is supp=
osed to guarantee the safety and fundamental rights of people and businesse=
s, while strengthening the uptake of, investment into and innovation in AI =
across the EU and associated countries. Within this survey, we would like t=
o give CLAIRE members and supporters, as well as the AI Community at large,=
the opportunity to provide their feedback and their opinion concerning the=
proposed plans and regulations.
